Ewoks in the Back Seat

Posted by
Joyce (Montana, United States) on 4 February 2012 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

I just can't resist these two fluff buckets sitting so sweet and attentive...waiiting for the invitation to get in our laps in the front seat.

I saturated it to make it more interesting and found I like the energy it gives them, ...more like them.

Thank you for your visit and comments. I so enjoy hearing from you and seeing the world through your lens.

Nathanael from Paris, France

They look like some star war friends...

4 Feb 2012 5:02am

@Nathanael: Exactly. Shih Zhus and that type, are the dog that the Starwar's ewoks were designed after.

Sido from Seville, Spain

Very nice picture. The best moment for a shot is when they are waiting for something as in this case. The colours are fine and look very realistic. Well done.

@Sido: I just have to photograph them, they are so darn cute, and yes that's a good point, they are much more interesting when they "want" something than when they are curled up and snoozing and just look like a pile of fuzz.

Calusarus from St Sorlin en Valloire, France

I like this cute duet. Well done !

@Calusarus: Thanks, a lucky snapshot for sure.

Slackwater Don from Spokane, United States

They look great! I like the boost you gave the shot. Dogs inherently know they belong in the front seat of cars and trucks. :-)

@Slackwater Don: Right! they would start whining eventually and volume rises until we say "okay come on up." It is so creative using the processing tools for boosting my photos, since many of them are really just lucky snaps.

Mariana M. from Waterloo, Canada

these two are adorable. two little sweethearts :)

4 Feb 2012 1:27pm

@Mariana M.: Thanks! They really are the best of dogfriends to us, and to each other, like loyal but scrapping brothers. With two they have each other when we are gone for a few hours, and freedom of the doggie door into their yard. A good life for us all.

Doug from Burnham-on-Sea, United Kingdom

Beautiful shot of these two, they really are buckets of fluff !

4 Feb 2012 4:29pm

@gootchai: Thank you so much!! zoo zoos a cute thing to call them. Saturating really picks up interesting colors. Fun.

Rick from Toronto, Canada

Double sweet! All heart and not a lie possible. You have to adore the fluff buckets :)

4 Feb 2012 6:17pm

@Rick: Don't ya just love that quality in dogs. You see it here. Trust, heart, and they live in the Present. And I can not find the word for the fact that we are their people. They live to be with us.

LauraS from Chico, United States

Fantastic! They look so regal, obedient, and yet ready to pounce upon command. Great shot.

4 Feb 2012 8:06pm

@LauraS: You have perceived their little strategy just perfect. Attentive, smart, and ready to leap.

B. Thomas from Arlington, Texas, United States

This is a really great shot of the two of them. How cool to get them both looking the same way. My neighbor has a couple of dogs much like them, and I get to puppy sit sometimes. The little black and one, Sammy, looks just like yours.

5 Feb 2012 2:04am

@B. Thomas: Then you know how sweet and funny they can be. They are the essence of lap dog as that's where these two prefer to be. The Black & white one lays on top of Ron's tummy or draped on the arm of the easy chair.

Hiro from Kyoto, Japan

So cute, I can feel the energy.

5 Feb 2012 3:07am

@Hiro: Ah good that you can feel the goofy, affectionate perky energy. Amazing what comes across in an image from the other side of the world, my friend.

Francisco Romero from Carbajal de la Legua, Spain

It is a couple of wonderful expressions.
