Mill Creek Burn #4

Posted by Joyce (Montana, United States) on 27 July 2016 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

We stood and looked at these outcroppings for quite a while. Me arrested by their beauty now exposed and Ron being a rock hound said the lower one is granite feldspar (I loved the colors) and the highest maybe sandstone, (certainly iron ore colors it orange). He said he'd have to climb up there and examine it to be sure. Uh huh, 30 years ago maybe.

Thank you for your visit and comments. I so enjoy hearing from you and seeing the world through your lens.
