Montana Traffic Jam

Posted by Joyce (Montana, United States) on 14 July 2017 in Lifestyle & Culture and Portfolio.

I love getting stuck in this cow traffic. The cowboys and herd dogs always have to chase a young cow or two who is afraid to cross the highway. It runs off but finds its separated from the herd and panics. I love that they still do this timeless cattle drive here. I didn't want to get out, so caught a picture of the herd crossing the highway but it looked like a black wall moving across the road. I took this from the left as the cowboy drove them north up to another field in the valley.

Thank you for your visit and comments. I so enjoy hearing from you and seeing the world through your lens.

And that cowboy is the traffic cop? Great shot. Take out the highway and the power lines, and this could right out of the 1800s.
