Out on a walk and had to stop and capture the sky

Thank you for your visit and comments. I so enjoy hearing from you and seeing the world through your lens.

What a glorious expanse . . a reminder of just how small we are in the order of 'Things'.

@Ronnie 2¢: just like I commented to Rick, the early painting I think by the Dutch that showed huge expanses of mostly sky and man very small was the expression in art history of the dawn of awareness in man. Sky being the symbol of mind or spirit, in contrast to scenes of courtiers dressed in brocade, fur, and jewels with pure arrogance the deliberate subject.

Your beautiful image is perfectly titled. To be able to see something of this spiritual power and awe during a walk near your home is to be the essence of grateful.

@Rick: It doesn't take much, does it? If you are awake. Just staying grounded and awake is the challenge. the sky I remember in art hi9story, when the paintings started showing huge skys and little people in contrast,....was the illustration in art, of the awakening of consciousness in mankind, or dawn of awareness outside of our animal nature. That class taught history better than any academic class. I bet you agree.
